Getting Influential with Nongshim

When Nongshim knocked on our door earlier this year, we were all too eager to answer the call. As food lovers, we were jazzed about Nongshim’s long standing tradition of making unique packaged foods accessible around the world. As food marketers, we knew that their bold packaging, variety of flavors, and recognizable product would look great in photos. So we got right to work.


All of our clients have different objectives for their marketing campaigns. Nongshim came to us looking to accomplish 2 key things:


1. Increase product awareness and adoption amongst the large Polish community located in the Chicago metro area

2. Highlight key retailer availability in the Chicago metro area 


We, along with the experts at Nongshim, suspected that Polish food fans might also love Korean flavors given the variety of similarities between the two cuisines, so our teams set out to forge a new culinary connection! 


To accomplish our companies’ shared goal, the Ingredient team honed in on a Chicago-based influencer campaign that would educate audiences on the similarities between Polish and Korean cuisines. 


Then, we developed unique product pairings to excite the influencers and their followers about the possibilities of a Nongshim meal. 


Finally, we made sure that audiences knew where to buy the products locally so they could take the idea from social media to IRL. When the campaign wrapped up, we wrapped things up with a tidy report of how the campaign performed and ways that it boosted Nongshim’s presence in target Chicago markets.
